Shirt workshop

This loose fitting, casual shirt makes a great addition to any wardrobe. It can be made in a range of fabrics so great for all seasons. A 'Grainline' pattern is provided for each student attending the workshop so you can carry on creating when you get home!

You will learn:

  • how to measure and cut accurately
  • sew pockets, cuffs & collar
  • setting sleeves
  • add a button placket with buttons & buttonholes

Please note: The Grainline pattern ranges from size 2 - 18, bust sizes 33" - 44" . Please email me if you are not in this size range.

Additional costs: You will need 2.5 metres of 45" (115cm) or 2.25 metres of 54" (150cm) fabric.

Suggested fabrics
Shirt weight fabrics ranging from silk chiffon, silk crepe de chine, cotton shirting, chambray, lightweight denim, and flannel. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, or one-way design prints.

(9) ⅜˝ to ½˝ buttons

Suitable for: Intermediate, someone who is confident using a sewing machine.
