Hand Embroidered Journal Cover

Come and spend a relaxing couple of days immersed in creativity in which you will come away with a beautiful, unique hand embroidered journal to cherish. During the two sessions you will learn to perfect your hand embroidery skills while creating a beautiful floral design, before applying to an A5 plain journal.

On day 1 you will use a variety of traditional hand embroidery stitches to create a floral design on linen fabric. You will also have the option to add one or two embroidered words, you will have a few days between sessions to continue adding detail if you wish.

Once complete, session 2 will be spent learning to finish the fabric and apply it to the cover.

Your finished book can be used as a journal, sketch book, scrap book or photo album, perfect to keep for yourself or give as a unique gift.

There will 4 linen colours to choose from along with a variety of floss colours, 6 skeins per person. The pattern will be pre-printed to trace on to the linen which can then be customised with a name or title (optional).

Additional Costs: Everything is included in the cost - A5 casebound journal, linen fabric, interfacing, threads, craft glue, needles & of course refreshments.

Suitable for: Someone who has completed the basic hand embroidery session, or has past experience of simple hand embroidery.

Please note: Session 1 runs from 10-4 on Sunday 12th February & session 2 runs on Wednesday evening 22nd February 6-9pm. There will need to be a minimum of 3 attendees for the workshop to go ahead.
