Bristol School of Sewing and Textiles

This two hour workshop will give you an insight into the different types of fabric available on the market. Deciding which type of fabric to make an item with is an important decision, as fabrics can have countless qualities. From natural to synthetic fibres and from knit to woven, we will  look at different fabric types and how to identify them. You will be given an array of swatches as reference points. We can also discuss suitability for particular projects.

Additional costs: Please bring along a notebook or small portfolio to glue your swatches in. Everything else is included in the price.

Suitable for: Anyone who wants to gain more knowledge of fabrics.
