Slipper Boot Workshop

Come along and learn how to make a funky pair of slipper boots at this exciting and fun workshop. The slipper boots are made with a quality suede slipper sole supplied by us. You can create your own unique style, be as adventurous and creative as you please. These are great as gifts, just in time for Christmas or just as a treat for yourself!

You will learn:

  • To copy, size & cut a pattern
  • How to sew a combination of different fabrics (ie: fur & cotton together)
  • To use a walking foot (for thicker fabrics)
  • Add a range of trims
  • Backstitching a suede sole by hand

Additional Costs: You will need to bring half a metre of outer fabric and half a metre of lining. Suitable fabrics for outer fabric are; medium weight cotton or cotton blends, pinwale corduroy. Lining; fleece or low pile synthetic fur. I do have pom poms available to use in pink, blue & purple along with a range of bias and ribbon (included). Please bring your own trimmings if you would like a specific colour, approx. 1 metre. Suede soles & threads are provided but please email me your shoe size. Hand stitching of the sole will need to be finished at home. Extra soles can be purchased for £14 at the workshop but these will need to be pre-ordered, please email sizes required.

Suitable for: Ideally someone who can use a sewing machine or has attended our beginners sewing workshop.
