Make a Cushion
Make a professional looking scatter cushion cover with piping or frills and a zip. Once you know how to make one you’ll be able to furnish your rooms with lovely cushions in colours to match and use your newly gained knowledge to place zips in garments or make neat seat pads for dining chairs.
What you will learn
- How to measure and cut fabric for the cover
- How to make your own piping/frills and sew into the seam
- Sew in a zip
Knowledge level: Suitable for anyone who can thread a sewing machine and sew in a straight line using basic straight stitch.
Additional costs: None. We'll provide the fabric, cushion pad, zip and piping cord.
However if you prefer to bring your own you will need:
- Half a metre of fabric for cushion cover and quarter of a metre for contrast fabric for frill or piping.
- 14" zip
- Matching thread
