To keep everyone motivated I have introduced a range of simple sewing workshops via zoom. Once registered you will be sent a link to copy & paste ready for the session. I will be teaching step by step & you should be able to use fabrics etc that you have around the house, if not I can supply kits.
These gorgeous, brightly coloured cushions can be made in a variety of fabrics to coordinate with your home. They can also be enlarged to make an excellent pouffe! The gathered rounded top, deep side & contrast piping give an interesting alternative to a normal square cushion; of course they look great mixed together in a variety of textures, shapes & sizes!
You will learn:
Additional costs: You will need 3/4 metre of cotton fabric for the main cushion and 1/4 metre for piping, 2.5 metres of piping cord, a strip of lightweight interfacing 44" x 4", a large button (or you could make a covered one), narrow ribbon or cord to gather in, matching thread, safety pin, scraps for petals (optional) ruler & fabric marker. This will make a cushion measuring 15" in diameter and 3" deep (it is best not to use a thick cotton as this makes gathering difficult!) You can buy a 15" cushion pad or fill it with old clothes/jumpers? I can provide the kit excluding the pad for £7.50. The cushion is sponge clean only.
Suitable for: Someone who can thread & use a sewing machine.
