This gorgeous, stylish coat make a great addition to any wardrobe. They look great made in wool fabrics as they are unlined. Seams can be bound to give a professional finish. You'll have your own unique pattern so you can carry on creating.
You will learn:
Suggested fabrics: This pattern is designed for woven fabrics but can be made out of a knit as well. It would look great made out of anything with a bit of drape like a rayon twill, gabardine, rayon challis, etc. It would also look great made out of something a little warmer with more body like a light wool or boucle!
Fabric requirements: You may need to purchase extra fabric if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat.
45" (114 cm) wide fabric: XS-M, 4 1/2 yd (4.1 m) // L-XXL, 5 1/8 yd (4.7 m) // 1X-4X, 6 1/8 yd (5.6 m)
54"-60" (137-152 cm) wide fabric: XS-M, 3 1/2 yd (3.2 m) // L-XXL, 4 1/8 yd (3.8 m) // 1X-4X, 4 2/3 yd (4.3 m)
Sizing: XS - 4X (approx. UK 6 - 28). If you email me your measurements I can advise you on your size, there will be a toile to try on at the workshop.
Notions: Matching thread; Optional: 15 yd of bias tape for seam finishing.
Suitable for: Someone who is confident in the sewing machine & has created simple garments.
