Make a Padded Sewing Machine Cover
Sewing machines aren't the prettiest to look at so why not make one of these gorgeous padded covers to coordinate with your home? They also make wonderful gifts. The skills you learn during this workshop can be applied to a variety of accessories including; cushions, quilting etc. There are a range of designs to choose from or you can create your own.
You will learn:
- To measure and make a pattern to fit your machine
- Add appliqué, lace, buttons, piping (if required)
- Create your own appliqué design using bondaweb (optional)
- Add wadding
- Top stitch
- Add a curved edge ( this can be used as a base for a bag)
Additional Costs: You will need to bring approx. 3/4 metre of outer fabric. Lining, wadding and accessories are included in the cost but if you wish to bring your own lining (I only provide white or cream) and trimmings please do. All tools, equipment and refreshments are included in the price.
Suitable for: Someone who is confident using a sewing machine.
