Bristol School of Sewing and Textiles

This 4 week workshop will teach your child the basic skills to create gorgeous, creative, individual items to share with others or keep for themselves. These will make ideal gifts and the skills learnt will give you the confidence to continue creating at home.

You will learn:

• How to thread and use a sewing machine                                       
• Add appliqué using basic hand sewing skills
• Cut, prepare and sew a range of fabrics
• Use various stitches
• Individualise items

Children will be able to choose to make a selection of items; a cushion, bag, purse, bunting or doorstop.

Please note: This course of workshops runs every Monday 4.15 - 5.45pm  on; 24/2, 3/3, 10/3 & 17/3/25. You will be required to fill out a consent form prior to the workshop (this will be emailed to you).

Additional costs: None, everything is included in the price but if you wish to bring your own oil cloth for your bag & purse you will need 1/4 metre.

Suitable for: Someone who has attended previous workshops and would like to gain more confidence or complete beginners.
