True Bias - Marlo Sweater

Come along and make one of these cosy, comfy oversized button up sweaters. This is a great pattern for those wanting to get into making garments with stretch fabrics & have never worked with stretch fabrics before. You'll have your very own True Bias pattern to take away so you can carry on creating. There are two styles to choose from; a long length with pockets or cropped version.

You will learn:

  • how to choose the correct size
  • cut & sew stretch fabric
  • how to add pockets (optional)
  • sew buttonholes & buttons

You will need: 2 metres (cropped) 2.5 metres (long length) of 150cm wide stretch or non-stretch fabric (if using 115cm wide get an 0.5 metre),  in sweater knit, french terry, sweatshirting, polar fleece, wool mix, rib knit or boucle. If using non-stretch you will need 0.5 metres of stretch ribbing for bottom band & cuffs, 3 x 30mm buttons (short) 4 x 30mm buttons (long).  Matching thread.

Suitable for: Beginners who can use a sewing machine & would like to start creating simple stretch garments.
